The CIS includes two classes of consultants which differentiate between consultant assignments.
Group A consultants have a history of doing NIJ peer reviews or have applied and received NIJ approval to be peer reviewers. Resumes and expertise areas are required, although, not all consultants have provided this information. Group B consultants perform short-term assignments for NIJ, such as attending meetings, writing papers, traveling for site visits, and presenting or facilitating at conferences. These assignments occur as needed and may be only a one-time occurrence. Group B consultants are not required to go through the formal registration and approval process. As a result, most do not have expertise areas or resumes available for your review. If they are selected for peer review, they must go through the registration process and submit expertise areas and a resume. |
