QUALIFICATIONS FOR SELECTION:
To qualify for selection as an NIJ consultant, you should be a researcher (e.g., university professor), practitioner (e.g., chief of police), or both in the field of criminal justice, with at least seven (7) years of experience. On the Consultant Information Form, you will be asked to designate up to nine (9) areas of expertise, ranging from Adjudication and Sentencing to White Collar Crime. We recommend that you review the expertise areas before you fill out the form. The forms are available in Microsoft Word and PDF format.

SELECTION PROCESS/NOTIFICATION: NIJ staff will review your application and qualifications to determine your suitability as an NIJ consultant. You will be notified of NIJ's decision through an email in approximately six (6) weeks.
